2022 State of Hispanic Homeownership

MCGI Mondays Strategy
This morning NAHREP - National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals® released its annual State of Hispanic Homeownership Report. Polygon Research is proud to serve as a data contributor to the report for the second year running.
NAHREP used HMDAVision which allowed the policy analysts to perform microdata analysis of mortgage transactions from 2018 to 2021. The NAHREP team used the dynamic filters to get answers to the questions they were looking for. For example, they asked a question, What is the Hispanic/Latino share of FHA home purchase loans and how has it changed over the years? And they answered it easily with instant analysis from HMDAVision as shown below.
HMDAVision will be updated later this month with 2022 HMDA data.
The NAHREP team also used CensusVision to get instant insights from analyzing microdata (PUMS) analysis of the 1-year American Community Survey (2017-2021). Polygon Research created a dashboard that answers the question, is there an affordability gap for Hispanic households?

In this dashboard, the NAHREP team was able to easily compare the income needed to purchase the median-priced home and the median Hispanic household income of
existing homeowners in various MSAs. That was the basis for the MSA ranking (Top 10 Most and Least Affordable Markets for Latinos in 2022) that they included in the report.
Finally, NAHREP uses CPSVision, an interactive analytics app that contains monthly PUMS data from the Current Population Survey and 5 years of the Annual Social Economic Supplement (ASEC) microdata.
